Careless disposal of cigarette butts is apparently what caused a massive fire that destroyed the historic Somersville Mill on June 2, according to the affidavit supporting the arrest warrant for one of three people charged in connection with the blaze. Approximately 250k sq.ft. of space was ruined in the incident. Only one 14k sq.ft. building at 27 Quality Avenue survived.

Willitt Mill Place: 27 Quality Avenue is the last vestige of a mill era gone by. Here is a record of it's transformation and the way it appears at present. The remodel took place from 2004-2005 and the building is currently fully occupied.
